Highlights of 2023 in M2M Solutions

The year 2023 has been a very varied one and has brought M2M Solutions several significant events. We would like to give you a brief overview of the most interesting moments.

The future of logistics lies in robotics

With our new cooperation with HIK ROBOT, we are able to integrate the latest robotic solutions into the warehouse and production environment and we are currently preparing them for the company Lunys. The aim of the project is to transform the traditional warehouse process into a new, automated and efficient system using robots and their seamless integration into the transport logistics system (TLS) and the warehouse management system (WMS). With this step, we will extend the WMS with a new feature, the automated warehouse integration.

We continue to explore the space

As part of the SENAV consortium, we continue to develop a drone that navigates in unknown environments and we are currently testing the accuracy of the position estimation. The tests are conducted in a simulator that includes terrain created from real photographs of the Mars surface. A drone connected to the simulator flies in a virtual world over the simulated Mars surface and produces a map as it flies over it. Our task is to develop optical navigation for a fully autonomous drone in an unknown environment. We can apply the technology on Earth then, in a combination of managed warehouse and drones, leading to huge technological advances for warehouse systems.

In the Ground Station Scheduling Broker (GSSB) project, we have integrated the first ground station and we are currently approaching the final phase. The project represents a significant step forward in satellite communications management and we believe it has the potential to revolutionise the way we connect and communicate with space objects. At the heart of the project is our transport logistics system. GSSB thus opens up the market for new users who can start using satellites for data collection.

Another major milestone for our company is the use of our Warehouse Management System to manage the supply chain of aerospace companies. Our proposed solution has been assessed by the European Space Agency (ESA) and recommended for implementation. This provides a comprehensive real-time view of inventory from all collaborating entities and enables better collaboration between space entities and partners.

Products sustainability

The systems we develop save money. At the same time, they save nature and they are sustainable. Digitalization and efficient process setup contribute to more eco-friendly operation of companies and thus to sustainability. We believe that our way is to create innovations that take into account the needs and expectations not only of today's generation, but also of future generations.

We have had the opportunity to present this topic several times during the year at various conferences. We are very pleased to have contributed in this way to raising awareness of such an important topic as environmental protection.

We consider conferences as very important opportunities for meetings and interesting discussions. Other main topics of our presentations were trends in smart logistics and our space story. We appreciate the excellent work of the organizers.

Products development

The year 2023 was full of challenges for us and product installations were one of the pillars of our journey.

As a supplier of warehouse and logistics solutions, we work with the Bory hospital, the most modern hospital in Slovakia. We are very pleased to have made a significant contribution to paperless operations and optimized logistics flows with our system.

We have transformed several warehouses into a new digital format with our WMS.

Deploying a WMS into a warehouse environment can be very quick and implementation takes up to 10 days. However, full digitalisation sometimes requires specific adjustments and takes a longer time. We currently have several warehouse digitization projects that we will continue to work on in the coming year.

During the year we had an interesting moment with our Manipulation by Light (M2L) product when a customer successfully installed the system themselves for the first time. Similarly impressive was the first installation of M2L in combination with a ProGlove scanner.

We have also implemented other solutions for our customers such as ViMS, e-kanban, OCR label reading.

We are truly delighted to partner with our customers on their digital journey. This modern transformation not only increases the efficiency of processes, but also opens the door for new possibilities and innovations.

We won the Award for Innovations

Every single award is precious and encouraging for us. This year, we won an award in the Výnimočná firma (Exceptional Company) project in the Innovation category, which is announced by TÜV SÜD Slovakia. Together with more than 50 companies, we were evaluated in terms of our commitment to quality, approach to innovation and social responsibility. We appreciate the award very much and see it as proof that innovation is not just a word for us, but a real philosophy.

greentls

The end of the year is linked to a new selling concept for the transport logistics system. Intelligent transport planning in time slots saves time and transport costs with an emphasis on sustainable goals. From now on, it is offered as a service for everyone in the form of a monthly fee. Go green.

We are thankful for the outgoing year, the whole team, business partners and for everyone who supports and cheers for us. We wish you a successful 2024 and we are looking forward the future.
