Newmatec 2022: Machine vision and artificial intelligence in logistics

After a long break caused by the pandemic, the largest international knowledge forum in the automotive field was held again, focused on new materials, technologies and innovations that determine the current and future trends of the automotive and related industries.

The Newmatec 2022 conference was held in the amazing environment of the Low Tatras and during the second day of lectures our CEO Martin Jančo, who is also the vice president of the Association of the Automotive Industry of the Slovak Republic, had his speach. During his presentation, he introduced technological innovations in the field of machine vision and artificial intelligence in logistics, which can be great benefit in the automotive industry. Using the potential of standard cameras with artificial intelligence can greatly affect workplace safety, significantly speed up inventory, or save hidden and unnecessary costs associated with errors in the production process or picking orders.

A large number of experts met in one place and had interesting lectures, which were always followed by panel discussion. The topics of the conference were really diverse. The view of the current geopolitical situation and its impact on the automotive industry, which is much affected by the circumstances, was remarkable. The development of electromobility in the world and in Slovakia was a big topic of this year's conference and created space for reflection and discussion about the future of electric cars.

Discussions also took place during coffee breaks or evening networking, when it was possible to meet experts from automotive industry and networking in an informal atmosphere. We consider the Slovak automotive world together with foreign experts in one place to be a high-level conference worth visiting, which was also confirmed by Katarína Mišutková, Key account manager of our company: "Newmatec 2022 opened up a number of current topics that affect the entire company and have an impact on future development and direction. Perhaps the questions asked do not have clear answers, but it is important to open them up, discuss them and look for the best solutions together. And that happened at Newmatec - joint discussions, putting together arguments and expectations, looking for solutions."

Thank you for being a part of it and we look forward to the next year.
